This is a Kagami Mochi (traditional Japanese New Year's rice cake decoration) made from Kobushi wood from Tokachi, Hokkaido. The mochi is made of Kobushi wood, and the daidai (orange) part is made of Hou wood.
All parts are finished with impregnation coating.
The natural finish of the wood is preserved.
Each item is handmade. The wood grain may differ from the photo, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item.
The size is approximately 13.5cm in diameter and 12cm in height.
