This item was stored for a long time at my parents' home without being used. Please note that only the incense burner and wooden box are included; there are no accompanying booklets or other items, only what is shown in the photos.
There is a small discoloration on the side of the incense burner (Photo 12) and a small discoloration on the bottom (Photo 15). The wooden box has a repaired crack due to age-related deterioration (Photo 17), but it does not affect the storage of the incense burner. Please refer to the photos for details.
With its plump, rounded shape and the distinctive little bird on top, it is called the Little Bird Incense Burner.
Takaoka Copperware, a traditional craft from Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, is highly regarded worldwide and has a history of approximately 400 years.
This Little Bird Incense Burner is a work by Yoshikatsu Nousaku, a renowned caster of Takaoka Copperware. With its deep black-brown coloring and beautiful cast surface, it serves not only as an incense burner but also as an excellent decorative piece for your tokonoma (alcove).
We appreciate your understanding that this is a long-term storage item. Thank you.
