I am captivated by the shapes of river stones, and I create various forms by thinly wrapping stones with clay, expanding on different ideas. After drying, I paint them with a brush.
I believe it's a truly simple production method, but
I've come to feel in recent years
that there's a profound depth to it.
When I first started, I was completely absorbed, and I never imagined I would continue creating these stone works for over 25 years.
The plump sea otter is endearing,
and its appearance is truly healing.
The size is approximately 10 cm in height,
7 cm in width, and 4 cm in thickness.
