For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel them to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out, peel, or shave the wood, many customers have given us positive feedback that the hardness and chewability are different from other products ?

We have made this a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the teething stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely hold will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless even if swallowed.
The bark is peeled one by one from pear branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As this is a handmade item by an amateur, please understand that there may be overlooked imperfections or cracks/splits due to over-drying, even though the branches are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file).

Since it is made of wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise your pet while they are playing.
