KAWAI 80s Synthesizer K1 + ROM Card

This is a KAWAI K1 synthesizer from the 1980s, including a ROM card.
The listing includes the synthesizer unit, AC adapter, manual, and ROM card J1-01.
It was purchased new by an acquaintance in 1988, used for 4 years, then passed on to me and has been stored for several decades.

The condition is good with no major damage, though there are minor scratches, scuffs, and some shine, consistent with 4 years of use. Considering it's a synthesizer from several decades ago, it's in very good condition.

The following operational checks were performed for this listing:
〇 Sound Output: Line output (L/R) OK.
△ VOL Slider: Works, but there is crackling when the slider is moved.
△ Headphone Jack: Sound outputs, but there is crackling due to poor contact.
〇 Keyboard: All keys respond appropriately to velocity without any unusual feel.
〇 Pitch Bend, MOD Wheel, Stick, Switches: All respond without chattering.
〇 MIDI Out Port: Confirmed that an external MIDI sound source can be connected to the K1 and played.
〇 MIDI In Port: Confirmed that the K1 can be used as a MIDI sound source played from an external keyboard.
〇 Sustain Pedal Port: Confirmed that the pedal connects and operates normally.
〇 ROM Card Slot: Confirmed that the ROM card (J1-01) can be inserted and the sounds from the card can be recalled.
... Functionally, there were no issues other than the crackling.
The crackling could likely be resolved with maintenance such as contact cleaner.
* Please be aware that not all functions have been checked, so there is a possibility of other defects.

My personal impression of this K1 is that, contrary to its appearance, the sound is vibrant and has a distinct 80s flavor.
The first sound on the ROM card was also an orchestra hit.
Also, the keyboard is surprisingly good. It doesn't feel like a cheap, flimsy touch, and the electric piano sounds were easy to play.
As expected from KAWAI, known for pianos, the keyboard feels like it wasn't skimped on.

It will be carefully packed with bubble wrap and cardboard for shipping.
