Unused: Ray Parker Jr. First Solo Visit to Japan (1982) Concert Ticket
132.00 $
Description
Ticket from Ray Parker Jr.'s first solo tour in Japan in 1982 (Festival Hall).
It is missing the seat number stamp (rubber stamps were used at the time), so it is likely a sample or for an insider's use.
There is some dirt on the back of the B-seat ticket (please refer to the photo).
In 1982, Ray Parker Jr. began his full-fledged solo career, releasing the album The Other Woman, which included a hit title track. This album, characterized by its mellow grooves, boogie, and pop songs, established his modern and approachable style as a solo singer.
This year can be considered a pivotal one, as Ray Parker Jr. transitioned from session musician to solo artist, laying the groundwork for his dominance on the pop charts.
