【Purchased in Brazil (Salvador)】GOPE Pandeiro 27cm

This is a pandeiro from GOPE, a traditional Brazilian manufacturer. It's an authentic model featuring a wooden frame, 6 silver jingles, and a goatskin head.

Purchased in Salvador, Brazil.
It was recommended by a local musician who was part of a samba group.

Compared to plastic heads, the sound characteristics offer a longer sustain and a rustic, stylish resonance, making it ideal for acoustic ensembles and Capoeira.

I actually heard it being used at a local event, and it was spectacular to see the musician holding it between their knees, striking it like a drum and shaking the jingles like cymbals.
In other words, depending on how you play it, a single pandeiro can function like a mini drum set.

This is a cherished memento from my travels in Brazil, but I've decided to part with it as I no longer have opportunities to play.

It has been stored in a case for a long time, so it's in beautiful condition with minimal signs of playing wear. However, please understand that this is a used item.
