Thomas & Thomas Avantt 904-4 Fly Rod (Excellent Condition)

This is a Thomas & Thomas Avantt series fly rod.
Specifications are 9 feet, 4 pieces, and a 4-weight line rating. I recall using it for a total of about 6-7 days after purchase (though this may not be exact). At the time, it was out of stock in Japan, so I purchased it directly from an overseas shop.

According to the importer TEAL's website, the model was changed to Avantt-II in March 2024, and the current retail price is ¥206,900. The price in USD was $895 for the Avantt and is currently $1045 for the Avantt-II. A page that appears to show the Japanese price for the Avantt at the time lists it at ¥135,450. I believe the current model's price reflects recent price increases, so I have set my price at less than half of the original Japanese price.

The blank is in very good condition. Although it has a matte finish, there are two scratches visible when held up to the light. The tip section has one scuff mark on the coating, the reel seat rings have a small ding the size of a grain of rice, and there is a scuff mark on the butt end. These are shown in the photos. The grip has some dirt, but the cork quality is good, with hardly any significant pitting, likely due to the brand's sourcing of high-quality cork. The tube has been stored at home in a plastic bag and is in the same condition as when purchased.

It seems this rod is not widely circulated online, perhaps due to a limited number of retailers in Japan. As this is a used item, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. This is a high-value item, so please make your decision carefully.
