okcsc TC3.5 Headphone Cable 4.4mm ⇔ 3.5mm Plug x2

Purchased new on Amazon in January 2026.
Used with Hifiman Ananda.

Issue with the 4.4mm plug:
When inserted normally, sound may only come out of one ear.
If pulled back slightly (about 1mm), sound comes out properly from both ears.
Looking at Amazon reviews, there are others with the same issue, so it seems to be a characteristic of the product...
Once sound comes out of both ears, it does not cut out.
Please understand that returns are not accepted.
No pets or smokers in the household.
Thank you.
