Japanese Drum - Otsuzumi (Luxurious Kongo Pattern, Genuine Lacquer)
This is a superb piece featuring a striking Kongo pattern painted on a cherry wood body with genuine lacquer.
This tsuzumi was crafted between the late Meiji and early Showa periods. While there are some minor dark spots and signs of use on the genuine horsehide, it is still in perfectly usable condition.
As mentioned, the Kongo pattern is exceptionally beautiful compared to similar Otsuzumi drums.
