Phono Amplifier for Record Player, PP500 with Headphone Output

This is the PP500, a compact phono amplifier/equalizer amplifier. Includes the main unit and AC adapter. The instruction manual is in English.
There are several variations of the PP500, and even with the same model number, there may be differences such as the presence or absence of gold plating on the terminals, or changes to the knobs and ground terminals (this unit is the gold-plated, latest type, I believe).
This is a phono amplifier (equalizer amplifier) necessary for connecting a record player to an amplifier that does not have a phono input.
(Not necessary if the record player has a built-in equalizer amplifier).
Connect it between the record player and the amplifier's AUX/TAPE/TUNER etc. (these are basically the same) terminals.
Records are not originally cut with the original sound as is. Simply put, they are cut with weak bass and boosted treble (RIAA curve).
The role of a phono amplifier/equalizer amplifier is to restore this (while also amplifying the signal), so even if you connect it to an AUX terminal on an amplifier without a phono input, the sound will not only be quiet but also not proper.
This unit allows for output level adjustment, but it's usually fine to leave it at MAX.
In addition to the pin terminals for connecting to the amplifier's AUX input etc., the OUTPUT also has a 6.3mm headphone jack, and the volume can be adjusted with this unit's Volume control.
Therefore, you can play music through headphones (without an amplifier) simply by connecting the record player to this unit (don't forget the ground wire).
The headphone jack is 6.3mm, so for 3.5mm earphones etc., please use a 6.3mm to 3.5mm conversion plug.
