SONY Sony PT-6A Portable Tape Recorder Densuke Open Reel

SONY Open Reel Densuke PT-6A Portable Recorder

This equipment appears to have been originally used by a national broadcasting station. There is a sticker on the front, but it is covered with black tape.

I tested it with manganese batteries for a trial.
Without a tape, playback, fast forward, and rewind functions were operational.
As I do not have a 6mm test tape, detailed operational checks such as actual playback and recording could not be performed. Please consider this before purchasing.
However, visually, the area around the heads appears to be in good condition, so I believe there should not be any major issues. (Please refer to the images.)

Inside the battery compartment, there is some dirt, possibly mold. However, the battery contacts are clean as shown in the images, so there should be no issues with power supply.

It is rare to find a high-end portable unit like this, originally used for films or professional broadcasting, in this condition. Please consider this opportunity.
