Iwai Chironomid Adult Midge (Hackle) [Revised] (No. 26-4-25)

⚫️ Iwai Fly Pattern (Reference)
This is the most basic pattern imitating adult midges.
Even with small flies, the hackle is cut horizontally underneath to prevent tangling with extremely thin tippets like 9x and 10x.

● Midge Adult (Hackle) [Revised]

Dry Fly Midge
(Hook: MUSTAD94842 #18)

Size: A set of 7 flies.
Comes in a plastic case.

Although these are midge flies, they are a convenient size to use.

Please refer to the photos for details on hook size and pattern.

● Perfect for peak stream fishing!
These are flies you'll definitely want in your fly box.

Ideal for wary yamame and iwana that have been spooked by previous anglers, and also suitable for stocked ponds!

They should also be useful in rivers during the season. Please try them according to the fishing conditions.

Also,
try them for a relaxing day fishing for oikawa, ugui, kawamutsu, and bluegill in nearby rivers where you can go with light gear, or when you need small dries for challenging stocked ponds, or for targeting rising fish, etc., depending on the fishing conditions.

When fishing in still water and retrieving, patterns other than parachutes allow the hackle to catch water more easily, creating ripples similar to those made by insects.
A great companion for summer river outings.

Recently, influenced by other users, I've started small fish fishing with Tenkara. I've been fly fishing for many years, but the ease of use and the fishing method that doesn't allow the line to slacken much make it easier to set the hook.

* Since frequent casting is required, it is convenient to have fly dryers or fly dry cloths to remove moisture, and floatants like dry shake.
