The RNC1773 (Really Nice Compressor) features two different compression modes.
One is the Normal mode with a peak detector, which provides very standard compressor operation.
The other is the Super Nice mode, achieved by layering three compressors, delivering ultra-smooth compression that completely preserves the attack.
Its capabilities are such that even renowned professional studios use this small RNC as a secret weapon.
It's an all-purpose compressor (at an unbelievable price) suitable for everything from tracking to mastering.

FMR Audio RNC1773(E) Compressor: An alternative version with special tuning applied to the RNC1773.
The internal analog circuitry has been upgraded with high-quality, low-distortion operational amplifiers.
The RNC1773's signal path is very simple, consisting only of the VCA IC, operational amplifiers, and passive components like resistors and capacitors, making the upgrade highly effective.
Comparing just the performance of the operational amplifiers, the THD+N value is 1/20th of the conventional product! (0.0006% → 0.00003%).
