Head Shell Integrated Cartridge EPC-271CS (Needle Not Included) Technics

This is an integrated cartridge that can be used with analog record players. Since it is integrated, you cannot replace it with a different cartridge on this head shell. The needle is broken and cannot be used. To use it, you will need to repair it by transplanting a needle or purchase a new needle/stylus.

This is a good quality item that has been confirmed to produce sound correctly from both channels using a stylus.

The cartridge integrated with the head shell is the EPC-270. Styluses that fit this cartridge include the EPS-270SD, EPC-270ED, and other styluses from the 270C family. This type of cartridge is likely one of the best-selling cartridges in Japan, and stylus manufacturers still sell replacement needles at affordable prices. According to JICO's website, the EPS-270SD (synthetic diamond, conical needle) is sold for ¥5,830.

Can be generally used with S-shaped tonearms.

The green knob on the tip of the cartridge indicates that the needle is broken. It will be shipped attached as a reference for choosing a stylus when replacing the needle, but please discard it once you are done with it.
