10cm 2-way rear bass-reflex DIY speaker Ver. 3 features a simple design
Chrysler is a distant memory.
Not a car, you know.
Or maybe you wouldn't know even if I said it was a car, it's part of the Stellantis group now.
Chrysler = a speaker brand from decades ago.
Ver.1 and Ver.2 used the baffles for the mid-range and tweeter of that Chrysler core CE-5a II as decoration.
Unfortunately, they didn't get many likes.
People just thought, What's that? when they saw an unfamiliar brand.
So for Ver.3, I changed the front baffle to matte black MDF!
Wow, so decisive, so manly!
It's clean, but somehow a little lacking.
Maybe the old Chrysler panels were better after all.
Showa-era men are so sentimental.
The sound is straight, as befits its monitor-like appearance.
The woofer is a 10cm Kenwood, the tweeter is of unknown manufacturer.
I tried attaching a different dome type, but the center popped out strangely.
A cone type, which sounds like it's pursuing sound quality, seems to be perfect.
Dimensions: 210mm (H) x 260mm (W) x 180mm (D).
Made with 12mm MDF, painted off-white except for the baffle.
Since the woofer is mounted internally, the front baffle is secured with 6 wood screws,
making repairs and replacements possible.
Doesn't it somehow remind you of J△L's monitor series 43××?
Huh? You don't know J△L 43××?
The Showa era has become so distant.
