Description
This is a set of a leg-mounted Shogi board and komadai (piece stands).
It features the characteristic heso (navel) processing found on leg-mounted Shogi boards.
• This is a substantial, single-piece Shogi board approximately 14.4cm (about 4.8 sun) thick, with beautiful wood grain.
Recommended for serious Shogi play or as a collectible, this is a genuine leg-mounted Shogi board.
Grain: Itame (plank grain)
Wood selection: Kiura (back of the wood)
It features strong wood grain characteristic of natural wood. The back of the wood is used for the playing surface, indicating a genuine construction.
The weight was measured on a scale and found to be approximately 11.9kg.
As this is a used item, there are scuffs and minor scratches associated with use.
The board has a slight wobble; when pressed by hand, one side sinks about 2mm.
Additionally, one of the komadai has a crack in the support post, and it appears there may be looseness at the connection to the base, as it wobbles slightly when pressed by hand.
