1963 Clemson Delta Kappa Alpha Certificate 1967 Navy Discharge Document Lot

Original named historical document grouping belonging to John Patrick Crowther. The lot includes a 1963 Delta Kappa Alpha fraternity initiation certificate from Clemson College and a 1967 United States Navy honorable discharge certificate. Both documents were removed from broken frames. The fraternity certificate features a printed green crest, an embossed gold seal with green and white ribbons, and original signatures. It records Crowthers initiation into Delta Kappa Alpha at Clemson College on April 20, 1963. The Navy certificate states that John Patrick Crowther was honorably discharged from the United States Navy on July 27, 1967, through the 120 Day Cache Program. The document also states that no active duty was performed under this enlistment. Also included is an unsigned vintage pencil drawing of a woman on board. The drawing was found being used as backing inside one of the broken frames. Its artist, subject, age, and connection to the documents are unknown, so it is included simply as a found bonus piece. Condition: Both certificates were previously housed in broken frames and show considerable age and storage wear. Expect toning, discoloration, staining, worn and uneven edges, small tears, bends, surface marks, and other deterioration. The fraternity certificate has especially rough upper edges. The embossed seal and ribbons remain attached but show age and wear. The pencil portrait has staining, darkening, edge wear, and surface marks. Please review all photo
