【Hokkaido Oe Mine?】
Rhodochrosite Rough Specimen, Large Size, Weathered

This is a rough rhodochrosite specimen, believed to be from the Oe Mine or Inakuraisi Mine in Hokkaido.
It features fine crystals aggregated in a rosette shape, and the entire specimen is weathered and covered in black manganese oxides. Originally a pink mineral, it has transformed into a subdued specimen with a brownish to black hue.
It is substantial in size and has a considerable weight. This specimen clearly exhibits the characteristics of Japanese manganese deposits.
[IMPORTANT]
Due to weathering, this specimen is extremely fragile, and crystals and matrix will crumble easily upon touch. Please understand the condition before purchasing.
This item is being sold as part of a collection clear-out. Recommended for those who understand the nature of mineral specimens.
