Aseda B5/610-B Bo Borgstrom Swedish Art Glass Vase Blue Orange MCM

Aseda model B5/610-B, designed by Bo Borgstrom in Sweden. Borgstrom came to Aseda in the early 1960s after establishing himself as a ceramic artist, bringing a distinctly sculptural approach to the glassworks. This piece is a wonderful example, with its broad blue opening, slender waist and warm red-orange base finished with an open bubble detail. Founded in 1947, Aseda had a relatively short life as a glassworks, closing in 1977. Borgstrom's colorful, expressive designs from the 1960s and '70s remain some of the factory's most recognizable work. Measurements: Approximately 9.5 tall Approximately 4 diameter at rim Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Please review photos for condition details.
