2nd Generation Mashimizu Zouroku, Gourd-shaped Incense Container (with original box)
The entire piece is not glazed, with the gourd leaf area intentionally left unglazed to stand out. The entire surface is subtly textured to resemble stems, making this a representation of the entire gourd, not just its shape.
The Zouroku seal is stamped on the back.
The box is a tomobako (matching box), and the lid is stamped Hyōgata Kōgō (Gourd-shaped Incense Container). Upon closer inspection of the seal, it appears to be the second generation Zouroku's pseudonym, Shunsen. *See the 6th photo.
The underside of the lid is signed Saku Zouroku (Made by Zouroku).
The overall patina and coloring are excellent, with no scratches or repairs.
Length 8.7 cm, Width 4.8 cm, Height 3.6 cm
