Vintage Betmar Black Wool Cloche Hat Sculptural Flower Braided Band

Beautiful vintage Betmar New York black wool hat in pristine, appears-unworn condition. This is such a striking piece—the classic rounded cloche/bowler silhouette is elevated by an elaborate tone-on-tone sculptural felt floral design along one side.  The embellishment features layered felt flowers and leaves with narrow looped and cut felt strands that create wonderful dimension and movement. A braided black felt band circles the crown and is finished with a small Betmar metal logo accent.  Despite the dramatic detail, the all-black design makes this surprisingly wearable.
