Antique French Spelter Urn Neoclassical Cherub Maiden Cast Metal Vase Paris

Elegant antique French cast-metal urn dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, featuring beautiful Neoclassical and Art Nouveau influences. The urn is richly decorated with classical maiden/cherub figures in flowing drapery, ornate scrolled handles, and an acanthus-leaf rim. The hollow center extends from the top through the base, consistent with a form that may have been designed for mounting hardware or use as a lamp component, although its original purpose cannot be confirmed. The underside/lower body bears a circular French maker’s mark reading “FABRICATION FRANÇAISE – PARIS – MADE IN FRANCE” with a central anchor emblem. The piece has a wonderful aged appearance with wear to the original finish consistent with age and use, giving the metal an authentic antique patina. Please examine the photographs closely, as the finish shows areas of rubbing and wear. The decorative casting remains attractive and well defined. About 9.5’’ tall
