Studied under traditional craft artists Koichi and Ryuzo Kawakita, and has dedicated many years to the production of natsume (tea caddies).
Received instruction in tea utensil production from his father, and studied under Bunshu Toshima, who trained many disciples including exhibition artist Kiichi Ikeda. He has devoted over twenty years to this craft, inheriting the sincerity and spirit of tea utensil making.
