Akoda Tea Caddy - Akoda - Omotesenke - Urasenke - Tea Ceremony Utensils - Natsume - Chaire
This is an Agoda tea caddy favored by Joshinsai of the Omotesenke school and Genzensai of the Urasenke school.
Made by Shinichi.
While it is suitable for tea ceremony practice year-round, it would be interesting to use it not only for the Nenju-ki in September, but also in October for Halloween and in December for the Winter Solstice, as Agoda is a type of pumpkin.
It was purchased used as it was stated to be unused, but I have acquired another one and have not used this one.
- Material: Wood with a Tame-nuri (dark reddish-brown lacquer) exterior, black lacquer interior, and a plum lid.
- Shape: A tea caddy modeled after a six-lobed Agoda gourd.
- Accessories: Dedicated wooden box.
Thank you for looking.
