Glass and Silver Plated Starburst Coasters - Set of 4

The combination of brilliant-cut glass inserts and polished metal rims became immensely popular for home bar accessories during the mid-20th century. Italian manufacturers were particularly renowned for exporting elegant tableware and entertaining accessories crafted with meticulous attention to detail. These coasters reflect the sophisticated cocktail culture of the post-war era, designed to protect fine wooden tabletops while adding a touch of sparkle to evening gatherings. The starburst or cut-sunburst motif on the base was a standard decorative choice that caught the light beneath glassware, remaining a beloved staple of vintage home decor today.
