Authentic vintage 1930s/1940s hand-pieced patchwork quilt in project/cutter condition.  This is a true quilt-on-quilt (patched-over) piece—the maker stitched a new square-patch top directly over an earlier worn quilt used as batting. It’s like a hide-and-seek game: as top patches shred open, you can peek underneath to discover hidden earlier pieced patterns! Unusually heavy and substantial at 6 lbs.
