Vintage Kantha Quilt Reversible Indian Sari Blanket – Hand Stitched Colorful Ora

A wonderfully colorful hand-stitched kantha quilt from India, made from layers of repurposed vintage textiles and covered in the traditional rows of kantha running stitches.  What makes this one especially fun is how different the two sides are.  One side features bold vertical bands of raspberry pink, orange and fresh green with small geometric and floral-style motifs. Flip it over and you get a completely different look — rich saffron orange and deep green paired with a large contrasting dusty rose/red patterned panel.  The hand stitching, pieced fabrics, little patches, fading and irregularities give this quilt the beautifully imperfect character that makes vintage kantha textiles so collectible. No two are ever quite alike.
