Vintage 1960s Italy Fur Felt Bucket Hat Pheasant Feather Green Cain Sloan Boxed

Super unique vintage 1960s Monterey fur felt bucket hat in deep moss green, with two dramatic clusters of natural pheasant feathers at the front brim. Interior label reads “Monterey — Imported Body, Made in Italy,” retailed by Cain-Sloan Co. of Nashville, Tennessee, and comes with its original labeled Cain-Sloan hat box. The box retains its original owner’s label — “Gilbertine Moore, 321 South College Street, Franklin, Kentucky” — a nice piece of provenance tying it to the estate it came from (1914-2008). No size marked — the crown narrows slightly and the brim flares wider. Measures approximately 7 inches tall from base to top. A fabulous example of 1960s millinery and a statement piece that is totally unusual and rare.   Photos are of the actual item you will receive.
