VTG Peoples Republic Of China Bamboo Weave Over Porcelain 6" Vase With Paper Tag

Beautiful mid-century Chinese export bud vase, featuring a stark white Blanc de Chine porcelain body encased in an incredibly fine, handcrafted bamboo lattice wrapper. The design is highlighted by a distinctive black geometric woven band around the shoulder. This style of fine rattan artwork gained massive popularity in the 1970s following the reopening of trade relations with China, often produced by artisans at the Shanghai Handicrafts factory. It perfectly complements Mid-Century Modern, Japandi, and Bohemian decor styles. Condition Report: This vase is in great vintage condition overall and retains its original paper People's Republic of China export tag securely attached to the bottom. There is one small spot of light cosmetic wear to the bamboo weaving on the side of the vase (clearly highlighted in the listing photos). The white porcelain underneath is completely solid with no chips, cracks, or flea bites. The remaining basketweave is tight and intact. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description.
