hand-painted ceramic bisque Native American family figurine sculpture.

Crafted typically through slip-casting or hand-molding techniques, these sculptures were widely produced by independent regional artists and small studios catering to the burgeoning Santa Fe decor and tourist markets. Over time, these striking sculptures became beloved staples of Southwestern interior design, prized for their warm cultural motifs and expressive sculptural forms. Figurative ceramics and pottery capturing Southwestern and Native American themes experienced a massive surge in popularity across the United States during the late 20th century. Artisans working in this genre often utilized unglazed earthenware or bisque finishes combined with rich earth tones and hand-painted details to emulate traditional micaceous clay pottery and woven textiles. These decorative pieces reflected a broader cultural appreciation for regional arts and crafts, particularly in burgeoning markets throughout Arizona. * items are from a smoke free home without damage or modification. * all items are sold (as is), no returns will be accepted.
