Formia Murano Greater Bird of Paradise Art Glass Sculpture Purple Gold Italy

Beautiful vintage Formia Vetri di Murano Greater Bird of Paradise art glass sculpture, handmade in Italy from the Magnificent Birds of Paradise collection. This striking piece features a deep amethyst/purple bird with clear applied glass wings and an elegant sweeping glass element accented with gold and silver-tone foil inclusions. The clear glass base has a subtle warm champagne/yellow tint that appears inherent to the glass. Original Formia Vetri di Murano Made in Italy label remains attached. Approximately 11.25 high × 5.5 wide weight: 4lbs 4oz Pre-owned vintage condition with noted damage. A portion of the glass beak is chipped/broken off. There is also a previous break/repair near the upper attachment/seam area of the large applied glass element where the bird sits. The repair is fairly discreet when displayed but can be seen upon closer inspection (i've added different angles of both of these flaws) Despite these condition issues, the sculpture displays beautifully
