Elephant Pillow Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvas Nichols Two Sided Vintage 1990s

A wonderfully colorful vintage Nichols hand-painted needlepoint canvas designed to create a two-sided elephant pillow. The same wonderfully plump elephant appears on both sides, dressed in a vibrant ceremonial-style blanket worked in hot pink, cobalt blue, turquoise, orange, yellow and lime green.  The two sides offer slightly different views of the elephant, creating a true front-and-back dimensional pillow when finished. A small photograph of the completed elephant is still attached to the canvas and provides a terrific reference for the finished project.  Even better, this canvas comes with its original stitch guide/instructions, making it especially appealing for a stitcher who wants to recreate the intended finished piece.
