Description
This is a stunning vintage egg-shaped porcelain trinket box featuring an elegant, deep cobalt blue glaze. The top of the lid is adorned with a highly detailed, classical Victorian/French- style transfer medallion depicting a romantic courting couple in a lush pastoral setting, framed by intricate gold-leaf style scrollwork. This beautiful keepsake box makes an elegant statement piece for any vanity table, dresser, curio cabinet, or shelf display. It is the perfect size for storing rings, delicate jewelry, or small keepsakes. The underside features a green underglaze backstamp consisting of a star above a leafy wreath, which is an identified 1980s import reproduction mark inspired by antique R.S. Prussia porcelain. This is a high-quality vintage decorative giftware piece from the late 20th century, not a 19th-century original factory antique. In beautiful, clean vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The interior porcelain glaze is high-gloss and immaculate. The gold filigree detailing remains bright with minimal to no surface wear. Please see all high-definition photos for exact visual details.
