Chinese Xinghuacun Porcelain Plum Blossom Calligraphy Vase Wine Bottle

Beautiful Chinese porcelain vessel featuring pink plum blossoms, traditional Chinese calligraphy and delicate gold-tone bands against a glossy white ground.  The base bears an 杏花村 (Xinghuacun / Apricot Blossom Village) mark with a traditional architectural and blossom emblem. Xinghuacun has longstanding associations with Chinese wine culture, and porcelain vessels of this form have been used as decorative liquor/wine bottles.  The elegant bottle-shaped silhouette makes this piece equally attractive displayed as a decorative vase, chinoiserie accent or standalone collectible.  Approximately 10 inches tall.   Preowned condition with age/use-related surface wear and some discoloration/marks around the underside of the foot. Gold-tone trim shows some wear.
