I have been collecting ukuleles as a hobby and restoring old ones. (Please note that these are amateur repairs.) I've decided to declutter and sell some of them.
If you are looking for a brand new item, I would be grateful if you would purchase it from a musical instrument specialty store.
I purchased this used.
The original red-like paint was stripped, repainted with lacquer from Oak, and then over-lacquered. The appearance has changed significantly. The geared tuners were replaced with friction pegs to give it a 1960s-style ukulele look. New black nylon strings have been installed. This is a slightly unusual AU-1.
The ARIA logo on the top is missing. There are screw holes from the geared tuners where the friction pegs were installed. The friction pegs are GOTO brand.
This particular ukulele is a slightly smaller, second-model AU-1 manufactured between 2013 and 2014. It is known for being a good ukulele for beginners.
