McCoy Yellow Ware Mixing Bowl Pink Blue Stripe Pie‎ Crust Edge 10.5" 1930s USA

A large and handsome example of American utilitarian yellow ware, this mixing bowl features the pink and blue banded stripe decoration and impressed rope-and-dart pie crust rim treatment associated with McCoy Pottery of Roseville, Ohio. The warm ochre-toned body tapers from a wide mouth to an octagonal foot, with the bold horizontal bands — a wide pink stripe, blue center band, and lower pink accent — wrapping the exterior below the decorative rim. Unmarked on the base, consistent with some McCoy production of the era. A decorative and collectible piece from the golden age of American kitchen pottery, circa 1930s. CONDITION: Good. Interior shows a superficial surface crack and dark staining from use, consistent with age. Exterior intact with minor age spotting.
