Description
Negoro-nuri Kyosoku (Buddhist Altar Table) - Pair (Antique/Folk Craft)
Purchased about 15 years ago for tens of thousands of yen at an antique shop in Miki.
I was told at the time that they were Negoro-nuri items, but I do not have any certificates or documentation.
They have a patina of age, and the red and black colors and the degree of wear are part of their charm.
I have lightly cleaned them, but only to the extent that it does not detract from their character.
As these are old items, there are minor scratches and signs of use.
I would be happy to pass them on to someone who understands antiques and folk crafts.
They are also a stylish piece for interior decoration or as display stands.
Immediate purchase is welcome.
