Description
Tsuguharu Fujita (Léonard Foujita) The Tailor's Cat Art Frame
Tsuguharu Fujita (Léonard Foujita), a painter whose trademark was his unique fashion of a bob haircut, round glasses, and a small mustache. He was active as a leading artist of the École de Paris with his unique techniques.
Among the themes that Fujita continued to paint throughout his life, in addition to nudes and children, there were always cats by his side. And for Fujita, who personally handled everything from his and his wife's clothes, bedspreads, to curtains until his later years, sewing tools were as familiar to him as cats. The cats and sewing tools depicted in this work, such as thimbles, pincushions, thread, and measuring tapes, are meticulously rendered, rivaling the detail of the cat's whiskers and fur, conveying Fujita's deep affection for craftsmanship.
The paper is thick, textured, and non-glossy.
The frame is included, so it can be displayed as is.
