Winter Landscape Watercolor Painting with Gold Frame, Orthodox Church, Horse-drawn Sleigh
39.60 $
Description
A watercolor painting depicting a winter landscape, framed in gold.
The composition is simple, with a person on a horse-drawn sleigh passing by a Russian Orthodox church with its distinctive roofline.
The blue roof is quite charming.
It is believed to be the work of an artist from Russia or a similar region, but the artist's name could not be deciphered.
The brushstrokes are delicate, and the design is one that you won't tire of.
The olive green matting and the slightly pinkish-gold frame are also lovely.
I purchased this framed piece at an antique shop.
I enjoyed displaying it during the winter, but I am now decluttering and selling it as I no longer have space for my collection.
The watercolor portion alone measures 13cm x 9.5cm.
The frame dimensions are approximately 32cm x 28cm x 4cm.
Please check the condition in the photos before purchasing.
