Vintage Hand Beaded Butterfly Hair Barrette Large Seed Bugle Bead French Clip

Striking vintage hand-beaded butterfly hair barrette featuring intricate seed and bugle beadwork in vivid orange, yellow, amber, burgundy and metallic tones. The large butterfly is densely embellished across the wings and body, with dimensional beaded edging and antennae. The beadwork is mounted on a cream textile/felt backing and fitted with a traditional metal barrette closure stamped “CLIP MADE IN FRANCE.” Measures approximately 4.5” wide × 4.5” tall, making this an unusually large statement hair accessory and a beautiful example of vintage beadwork. The French marking pertains to the metal clip mechanism; maker and origin of the decorative beadwork are unknown. Very good vintage condition overall. Beadwork appears well preserved with no obvious major areas of loss. Backing shows age-related toning/discoloration consistent with vintage use and storage. Please review all photographs closely as they are part of the condition description. A wonderful piece for collectors of vintage hair accessories, beadwork, butterfly jewelry and statement accessories. vintage butterfly beaded barrette butterfly hair clip
