Antique c1920s Handmade Baby Shirt Hand Embroidered Flower Basket Heirloom

Beautiful antique infant/baby shirt or short gown, likely handmade and dating approximately to the 1920s–1930s. Made from a very fine, lightweight and semi-sheer white fabric that appears consistent with cotton lawn, batiste or a similar fine cotton. The front features especially charming hand embroidery: a garland of tiny multicolored flowers curves around the neckline, with an embroidered white ribbon or cord extending down to a little blue flower basket filled with colorful blossoms. Additional tiny pink and blue flowers are scattered below the basket. The back has a simple placket opening secured by one small button at the neckline. No tags or labels are present. Construction and decorative work appear consistent with a handmade garment. Not being sold for wear. This antique textile is offered for display, collection, photography/prop use, historical textile study, heirloom-sewing reference or repurposing. Antique condition with expected evidence of age and storage, including scattered spots/discoloration and some faint pinkish marks/color visible in areas, particularly from the reverse.
