Beautiful vintage Treasures of India vanity compact featuring an exquisite hand-crafted silver bullion (zardozi) embroidery panel mounted on black velvet. Imported by Schildkraut, this unusual mid-century compact combines traditional Indian textile artistry with an ingenious all-in-one vanity design.  One of the most distinctive features is the ingenious swivel lipstick holder. The lipstick tube pivots upward beside the mirror, while the cap remains attached to the compact. Simply lift the holder and pull the lipstick from the fixed cap—an elegant design that prevented the lipstick cap from being lost.
