Vintage Artisan Black Capped Chickadee Bird Brooch Enamel on Copper and Unsigned

This artisan-made vintage brooch of a sweet black-capped chickadee features a cut-out copper base that has been painstakingly enameled and kiln-fired to produce a glossy, lifelike gradient effect.  The clean silhouette and fine-line details such as the hand-painted black cap and throat accents contrasting against the white and stippled grey plumage, are indicative of the high-quality craftsmanship of the mid-to-late 20th century nature/wildlife jewelry popular at that time in the U.S. and Canada.
