Vintage 1950's Tank Top R.C.A.F. Camp Borden — Vintage Military

Vintage R.C.A.F. Camp Borden Athletic Tank — #7, Garner's Sports Rare mid-century athletic tank top from R.C.A.F. Camp Borden, Ontario — the historic birthplace of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Black body with gold ringer trim at the neck and armholes, bold gold R.C.A.F. Camp Borden graphic across the chest, and a felt/chenille number 7 applied on the back. Tagged Garner's Sports — Barrie, a Barrie, Ontario sporting goods maker. Era: Vintage, likely mid-century (construction and tagging consistent with 1940s-60s athletic wear) Material: Cotton/wool blend knit jersey Details: Ringer trim, chest graphic, applied felt numbering Provenance: R.C.A.F. Camp Borden — significant Canadian military/aviation history site Condition: Vintage, worn. The felt 7 numbering on the back has notable fraying/deterioration (visible in close-up photos) with some loss of the felt material — this is an honest aging issue typical of applied felt numbering from this era, not damage from misuse. Fabric shows expected softness and fading from age. No holes in the body fabric itself.
