23 Vintage Dog Tags Rabies Vaccination Waynesville NC Pet ID Milk-Bone 1980s

Lot of 23 vintage dog and pet tags from western North Carolina, primarily Waynesville and Clyde, NC. The collection includes vintage rabies vaccination tags, personalized pet identification tags and Milk-Bone Brand bone-shaped tags. The veterinary/rabies tags include examples from Animal Hospital of Waynesville and Junaluska Animal Hospital. Visible vaccination periods include examples dating from the 1980s through the 2000s, including an early 1983 rabies vaccination tag. Several identification tags carry recurring owner/pet information, suggesting that much of the collection originated together. Shapes include bells, hearts, bones, rounds and decorative forms in various metal finishes and colors. All are pre-owned and show varying degrees of age-related wear, including scratches, finish loss, oxidation, discoloration and worn lettering. Several retain metal attachment hooks.
