Product Description:
Born in Hokkaido in 1944, Hisashi Momose is based in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, and has been creating works themed around color gradation for 40 years.
From the 1970s to the early 1980s, he produced prints composed solely of color blurring, using techniques such as silkscreen (serigraphy) and scanigraphy (Neko-print). From the late 1980s onwards, he began to create two-dimensional works in parallel, attaching handmade paper with applied colors and gold, silver, and platinum foils to canvas. These unique creations, described as prints without plates and paintings unpainted, have received high acclaim both domestically and internationally.
