Inariyama Tomb Iron Sword - Calligraphy Copy
This is a calligraphy piece inspired by the iron sword excavated from the Inariyama Kofun in the Saitama Kofun cluster in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture, in 1968.
The sword is inscribed with 150 characters, and for some reason, gold was inlaid into the characters. The purity of the gold is exceptionally high, almost unimaginable for that era, with virtually no impurities. Because of this, the sword is considered auspicious.
This artwork is a calligraphic rendition of the characters inscribed on that sword. (Calligraphy inspired by the original)
There are many mysteries surrounding why the characters were preserved with gold, and how such a high purity of gold was achieved. However, these mysteries add to its romance and depth.

The artist who created this calligraphy is also active as a calligrapher.
The frame, with its black base, is also stylish and easy to display as interior decor!
