March 1938: Newly built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Kobe Shipyard. Assigned to Tokyo Bureau, stationed at Takasaki Depot.
September 1942: Filmed at the Railway Technical Research Institute for the 70th Anniversary of Railway Establishment location shoot.
September 1943: Takasaki Depot → Oku Depot → Sendai Depot → Otaru Chikkō Depot → Muroran Depot
October 1969: Muroran Depot → Iwamizawa First Depot. Auxiliary light installed.
March 1976: Scheduled for decommissioning at Iwamizawa First Depot. Total mileage: 3,368,561.7 km.
May 1976: Arrived at Iyo-Saijō.
May 1976: A gratuitous loan agreement was concluded between the Director of the Shikoku Regional Headquarters and the Mayor of Saijō (former JNR President).
February 2016: Preserved and undergoing regular maintenance indoors at the South Building of the Shikoku Railway Culture Hall.
