Description

Wakizashi replica sword, for Iai-mae-dashi (front-drawing sword)
Yagyu Shinkage-ryu style mounting
(Large Suguha temper line with double hamon)
Yagyu Renyasai's beloved sword
(Bizen Osafune Yasumitsu) replica temper line
This sword features a Yagyu style mounting with a slender (flat-shaped tsuka). The fittings,
tsuba, fuchi-kashira, and menuki are all finished in oxidized silver.
The saya is made of wood with a gold thread lacquer finish. The tsuba features the Yagyu (San'ō Sukashi - Three Kings Openwork) design.
The blade is a replica of Yagyu Renyasai (Genjun)'s beloved sword, (Higo no Kami Yasumitsu),
with a (large, undulating midare) double hamon.
The hamon of this sword shimmers and fades with the play of light.

Additionally, the tang (nakago) of the blade can be removed.
Push the mekugi from the ura (underside) of the tsuka and pull it out from the omote (front side). The blade has many points of interest.
